The war between Ukraine and Russia has seen extensive media coverage, and various actors have used media platforms to advance their goals. This study aimed to represent the news of the war between Ukraine and Russia on the BBC Persian and Russia Today news networks. The method of this study was carried out using the narrative analysis technique of the news of the war between Ukraine and Russia on these news networks and using the theory of narrative analysis and framing. The sampling method was purposeful and consisted of one news year (four statistical weeks and 28 news days) from 2021 to 2023, forming a news package. The information analysis method was used using text and image data to identify patterns, themes, and meanings within the content. The research findings addressed the approaches and perspectives of these news networks in the narrative related to the conflict. Russia Today News Network has tried to portray Russia’s authority and war in support of the people by focusing on the “foreign policy,” “war,” and “attribution of responsibility” frameworks; while BBC Persian has focused on movements, popular uprisings, and criticism in favor of Ukraine. Russia News Network has paid more attention to the “attribution of responsibility” and “human interests” frameworks than other frameworks, and Russia News Network has paid more attention to the “foreign policy framework” and “war framework” than other frameworks.
