As the mainstream media in the country, in order not to lag behind the competing media in the field of news and information, Sada-e Azadi news agency must use all the capacities of the day in the world, including virtual social networks. Therefore, it seems necessary to know how competing news media operate in this field. In this study, while comparing the Instagram of the Radio News Agency and the BBC Farsi, an attempt was made to identify the relationship between the interaction of users and the payment of news subjects on Instagram of these two news organizations. To achieve this important goal, the researcher purposefully identified the same news subjects in the period of 9 months from autumn 1998 to spring 1999 and selected a total of 180 posts and analyzed them using quantitative content analysis method. The most important findings of this study indicate that the Radio News Agency has ceded the field to its competitor in the number of daily posts, but there is no slight difference between them in the way of using news elements and the way of using them. In BBC Farsi, there is a significant relationship between the use of the combined news value of reputation / encounter, political news subjects and political videos and the level of user interaction in the likes and comments components. On the other hand, the news values of encounter / inclusion and Reputation / attitude are significantly different from other components.

This article studies four episodes of BBC Persian’s “Pargar” on the relation between religion and modernism, and specifically Islam and politics using discourse analysis. It concludes that the dominant discourse of Pargar is philosophical-ideological and political secularism. These two discourses reject and deny the combination of religion and politics and reject the idea of religious governance and also indicate symbolic violence against political Islam and try to eliminate it. Since they have power and access to public tribunes, they express their understanding of the world in the form of a discourse and give all affairs and phenomena a meaning congruent to their core signifier. Secular discourse works towards defining and empowering and also suppressing and omitting. Secularism is formed against Islamic tradition and faith and also becomes a legitimizing principle to suppress political activities in the region.

Membership Categorization, first explored as a term by Harvey Sacks in the mid-1960s. The primary efforts of Sacks led to present the Membership Categorization Devices (or MCDs), in which the categories and their characteristics introduced. This article, studies the procedures of Membership Categorization as a discourse analysis approach, towards Pargar Programs, focusing on Religious Subjects broadcasted from BBC Persian during 2010 to 2012, trying to find key points of Sacks’ work in combination with Norman Fairclough's semantics of three levels of description, interpretation and explanation. Findings show that just around one of the three words which representing Islam, were relatively positive, while the two of them, were negative and usually based on anti-Islamic stereotypes. Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) of these programs emphases on one episode (Islam Nature) also shows that Pargar represented Islam as a religious of violence, putrefaction, untruth, anti-modernism, and anti human rights.

The media narrative of events is not an objective narrative, but its representation is in the discursive and ideological frameworks. This paper tries to find out how one of the most important events in the Middle East (dismissal of Morsi) is represented by media having different discursive frameworks (Channel 1 of IRIB and BBC Persian). Critical discourse analysis is used to evaluate this paper. The results indicate that BBC Persian television used a liberal democracy discourse within the framework of components such as legitimacy of majority, the rule of law and equality for the representation of this Egyptian event. In contrast, Channel 1 of IRIB applied components of Islamic Revolution discourse such as support for Islamists, support for resistance movement and conspiracy of western countries for the media construction of this Egyptian event. In addition, Channel 1 served other discourses, such as democracy and the will of the majority for the expression of its purposes.

This article have been studied the representation of internal changes in1388 (2009) in Iran by BBCPersian. In this article we have tried to explore the dominant discourse represented, as well as the process and dimensions of making news by the channel, although we have attempted to explain the methods which are used in the form of media professionals discourse as well as dimensions of hegemonic discourse of the media, to make induced discourses for audience. The main issues which have been made by BBC Persian in 1388(2009) are as followed: making believe that violations of both human rights and civil liberties has happened in Iran , making believe that the Iranian government are inefficient , trying to Strengthen the opposition and making deeper political divisions in Iran, treating Iran to read its nuclear program, seeing the election as the chance for changing the regime , trying to make the religious discourse weaker, making believe that BBC Persian is an objective media, making believe that there was a frude election in Iran, creating anti regime excitement among Iranian ethnics and religious minorities . In this article we try to explain these issues by investigating the program and news reports of BBC Persian TV Channel. It seems that the main indications of BBC Persian discourse toward Iran in 1388(2009) has been the legitimacy crisis of Islamic Republic of Iran and Iranian threats.
