Today, social relationships have changed in aspect of quantity and quality due to the emergence of modern tools such as communication media, universities and so on. The quantity of relationships affects the quality of one's relationships with others, including friends. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of social isolation on Quality of friendship among students in Kurdistan University based on network theory. The present study is a survey that using a Convenience nonprobability sampling method and 375 students of Kurdistan University were selected. Data were collected using a researcher-made questionnaire. After extracting the results of the questionnaires and using SPSS and Lisrel software, statistical calculations were performed to describe and test the hypotheses.The results indicate that social isolation has a significant effect on frustration of relationships, a feeling of powerlessness in friendship, subjugation and dependence in students' friendships, but social isolation has no significant effect on hatred and distrust to others. Consequently, when young people have lost contact with their colleagues, loses the talent of experience and thought. Individuals losing thought and action , feel helpless and powerless and thus results submissive to others.
