Urban visage is the language of city; the language that is the indicator of human’s perception or thinking of being in the world. "Building" is the symbolic and creative disclosure of thinking that reveals the approach of humans towards life in the world, and his or her view to the world and place. Contravention of the authentic meaning of a Building- that is dwelling, peace, intimacy, ensconcing, protection – involves contemporary human in the crisis of being "homeless" and insecure. Because of this crisis, contemporary human is alien or unfamiliar with his or her urban space even in his or her own city. Only when urban visage (face) is appropriated with content of the city (culture, beliefs, creeds,…) we have urban space. In this situation every element in the urbanization can bring familiar and meaningful feelings for citizens. Reflections on the authentic meaning of Building, place, space may present proposed pattern for authentication to urban face, the face that is language.

Despite the rise and expansion of knowledge and technology, We can still easily observe the presence of strong superstitious attitudes amongst people in human societies. Such attitudes are socially damaging, because they are essentially misleading people about how they can solve their own problems. Superstitious attitudes are simply the by-product of people’s socialization in different stages. Media are key factors in process of socialization which to a great extent cover people’s cultural consumption. Depending on what sorts of contents are promoted by the media, they are creating an attitude either in favor of or against superstitions. The current study is seeking to explore the Relationship of cultural consumption on having superstitious attitudes amongst the university students in Mashhad. the research methodology in this study is based on survey and it has been conducted by means of researcher-made questionnaires. The population was university students of Mashhad (97146 persons) of whom, we have chosen 363 university students (all of whom live in Mashhad) by cluster-stratified method as a statistical society. The result has shown us that in one hand, there is a negative or inverse relationship between having superstitious attitudes and informative cultural consumption such as books and newspapers. On the other hand, there is a positive or direct relationship between having superstitious attitudes and entertaining cultural consumptions such as social media and satellite channels. On the whole and after taking everything into consideration, there is a meaningful inverse relationship between the amount of cultural consumption and having superstitious attitudes.

The findings indicate that modernization has made some changes in family patterns, in marriage rules, in family practices, in attitudes and patterns of childbearing, balance of power in the family, in leisure patterns and in attitudes and patterns of divorce. Also, the policies adopted by the governments after the revolution were not able to address the harms and challenges of the family. These policies are associated with some problems such as lack of a non-comprehensive policies or holistic approach to the family, having a harm-oriented approach to the family, existence of gnumerous family custodians, unclear family policies, unclear approaches achieving policies, ignoring family diversity, lack of a sociological insight into policies and the reduction of the semantic and conceptual meaning of the family to meet the basic needs.

Life style and leisure practice is an area of human’s social life, which has experienced some changes under the influence of communicative medias. This article is investigating youth leisure practice in communicative medias. In other words, aim of this research is investigating the effects of communicative medias on the leisure practice. Research method is qualitative and the technique is narrative interview in which 35 students of Mazandaran University has been interviewed. Research findings are showing that media power relations and the underlying ideology in which is encoding commercial texts, influences the youth leisure practice. Practice of media leisure, debilitates real communication and has transferred communication into the cyber networks. Leisure practice in this situation is a kind of personal experience rather than being social. Although the communicative medias are apparatuses of leisure control, they can also be apparatuses of resistance and causing the feeling of release (even being superficial). This experience can be defined as releasing from the prison of routine life. Subjective release does not mean releasing from the activity of routine life, but the right to choose the leisure

The present research aimed at studying the effects of virtual social networks and the foreign satellite TV channels on emotional sources of women. The framework and the theoretical model of this research is based on Thompson's "self-experience in a mediated world", but in order to enrich the research, theories by Gerbner, Campbell and Collins were also being used. The method of the research is casual (explanatory). The statistical population is 20-55-year-old women of Borujerd city of Iran. The sample includes 400 individuals based on Cochran formula. Disproportionate stratified sampling was used. Through directed questionnaire the required data was gathered and processed by SPSS software. The results show that degree and kind of use of foreign satellite TV channels has direct and positive relation with changes of emotional sources of women. Multivariate regression showed that factors related to foreign satellite TV channels in general could explain 37 percent of variance related to emotional sources of women. Virtual social networks, memberships in the networks, using rate, with the exception of attraction of use have also a direct and positive relation with emotional sources of women. Multivariate regression could explain 44 percent of the variance related to the emotional sources of women. Thus, the results confirmed the theoretical framework and showed being proportional with it....

This research is trying to make a religious critical means for criticizing dramatic religious programs by using thematic analysis method and then, on the basis of this means, the study tries to criticize one of the religious Iranian serial made in Iran by the name of “Yousef”. In this study, we have used narration studies and especially characterization studies and as a result, it can be said that Yousef and Yaqub characters in Yousef serial have not been characterized on the basis of the themes of prophets that they represent in Quran. In the case of Yaqub, it can be said that “patience and trust in God” are the core themes in the Qur’anic narration, but in characterizing Yaqub in the serial, the character has not been characterized thoroughly. Also In the case of Yusef, it can be said that “patience and virtue” are the core themes in the Qur’anic narration, but in characterizing Yusef in the serial, the character has not been characterized thoroughly as far as "virtue" is concerned, although characterizing “patience” is a proper one in the serial of Yousef.

Kant has discussed the subject of culture for the highest good of the human being which expresses man's desirable perfection in the midst of virtue and happiness which is its ultimate goal of him. He previously presented an abstract and ideal concept of the highest good in the second critique that it was based on God's help. In the third critique, he uses the concept of culture to show the concrete aspect of the highest good which two components of it are discipline and skill. these two are the virtue and the happiness respectivly. The concept is based on human automomous struggle and activity and it will be realized as a social aim through the human subject. According to Kant, the greatest emergence of culture is reasonable freedom. Reasonable freedom involves inner freedom which observes morality and exterior freedom which observs social happiness. Growth and development of reasonable freedom in the human race and throughout history and over generations will lead stubbornness of reason over the world and domination of the culture of freedom.

September 11, 2001 was an important historical turning point for the United States. On this day, the contentment of the peace among people of the world, which began with the end of the Cold War and the destruction of communism, ended symbolically with the appearance of a new enemy. After that event, we have witnessed a discursive shift in the US mainstream media about the "Other" and the "East". In this article, by referring to the "Bildungsroman" idea and by using analytical tools of social semiotic of images, we will analyze the construction of the "Self" and, in contrast, the Other in US television. In our opinion, television is a suitable place for the production of what social semiotic theorists refer to as "Semiotic Resource". In this article, we have focused on an exceptional sequence from the Homeland television series, and after a thorough review of this sequence, we have found that the Self has found a specific definition in this TV-Series. She is a white woman of European descent (Authentic American). On the other hand, we have a male character with authentic American appearance which has turned into an enemy of the United States and he is planning an attack on US land. We have pointed out that the producers of this TV-Series have emphasized on the danger of apparently Americans who serve the enemies and can threat and attack USA from inside. In our article, we have also examined representational frameworks of post-racial and multicultural identity in this TV-series.

Lifestyle is a set of behavioral principles in different areas of life. In recent decades, in order to "apply" its concept in literary circles, the audience has encountered the positive and negative functions of lifestyle in fiction literature, and by studying mental and objective cases, his mind has been drawn to superior styles. The important point is to reread the warriors' lifestyles in the fictional literature of the Holy Defense. this rereading can reflect the cultural, military, social, and political identities of Iranian border guards to realize the idealism of "defending" the land and society's beliefs in individuals in order to preserve its precious achievements, especially in times of crisis. In fact, recognizing the source of the behavioral motivations of the defenders of the homeland reveals the capacities of Iranian thought and culture and the power of the "defense" strategy. The aim of the present study is to analyze the characteristics of lifestyle in the novels " Heedless Palm Trees " and "Roots in the Depths" with the discourse method of "Ernstolaclau" (Laclau, E). In this method, the connection of lifestyle components express how the jihadist identity of the fighters is created. Research findings show that the behavioral causes of the characters are based on adherence to the principles of religious beliefs and national zeal, which has also led to the achievement of independence and security of the country.

Media usage, as a form of cultural consumption, is the process of communicating with the media products and using the content to reach particular goals. The increasing accessibility and consumption of international TV channels in Iran and the competition between these channels and Iranian ones, is important for media studies. Studying the audiences' readings, as well as content and organizational analysis, would be helpful to understand the hidden aspects of this subject.
Present paper is a try to understand Iranian students' readings of one of the programs in Voice of America TV channel: The Parazit. Applying the perception theory, we studied the functions and read the media content in different ways and, therefore, their consumption of political gratifications of their consumption. The results of the deep interviews with 15 students show that the youth opponent channels does not mean disagreement with whole positions of Islamic Republic of Iran. Instead, the critical approach of the Parazit to some public behaviors was interesting for them.

One of the methods has been common for Badness-removing from the past to the present is the sacrificial ritual. This ritual is one of the manifestations of worship and is believed to be religious and ideological practice. This research which is a qualitative study, tries to study the ritual of sacrifice in the popular culture of Ivan city using a phenomenological approach; The sampling method was a snowball using semi-structured interviews to investigate beliefs about sacrifice among 18 elderly people in Ivan City and its six villages. The results of the research show that the sacrifice in the Ivan's popular culture can be analyzed in five sections and is often carried out for the purpose of Badness-removing and malevolent ward off. The important point is that due to the lack of financial resources in the traditional community, most sacrifices are made without blood except in important celebrations and events such as birth, marriage, mourning, difficult illness and pilgrimage trips that blood sacrifices being offered. In such cases, they believe that if no blood is shed, that disaster won't be repelled. Regarding the moderation of the sacrifice in popular culture, it can be said that the first sacrifice is more commonly in the bloodstream and the more we go, Animal corps replaces with the non-bloody sacrifice, as blood donations are limited to a limited extent today. Mostly sacrifice is offered in the form of prayer, sacrifice or donation of charity and money; including the vow of hair, which is later moderated by the replacement of money, jewelry and forgiveness. One of the most important factors of moderation is the expansion of awareness and understanding of superstitions and the importance of animals such as cattle and sheep in agricultural life and activity.
