The pilgrimage of Mecca in Islamic Miniature and the role of it in National Solidarity and Islamic Unity

Abstract

God send his massage to Ibrahim then his made Kaaba; Mohammad reconstructed the Kaaba to be holly place for all Muslims around the world. The message of Kaaba is monotheism, Solidarity and unity for all Muslims. Therefore Islamic arts were deeply affected by the concept of solidarity and unity. One of the examples of this claim is Islamic miniature. By studying pilgrimage ofMeccawe will found how Muslims artist are skillful in reflect their religious in Islam arts although it shows how Muslims are kind and friendly with each other.
In this article we try to study the miniature of some historical periods like: Ilkhanid period, Timurid dynasty, during 14th, 11th, 8th to 17th century; then we Have chose to consider some manuscripts like: Jami' al-tawarikh , Leyli and Madjnun,Alle Zafar Works, Shahnameh of ghavamod din , Eskandar Soltan s war ,Selseleh alzahab , Rozatol alsafa ,  The Five Jewels (Panj Ganj) Nezami , Habibol seyr ,Hieyrol Nabi(the Biography of Prophet Mohammad).
In this paper we have studied the content of every figure and we have focused on pilgrimage ofMecca.The goals and questions of this article are listed below:
 
Goals:
-    The Study of the effect of pilgrimage ofMeccaand Kaaba on National Solidarity and Islamic Unity in Islamic Miniature
-    The technical study of artistic characters of pilgrimage ofMeccain Islamic Miniature.
 
Questions:
-    Did the Islamic Miniatures honor pilgrimages ofMeccafor Islamic Unity?
-    What was the differences and similarities of painting figures with especial attention to the Kaaba and if these figures have considered the unity between Muslims in each historical period which have been considered?
The documentary method was used in this article and descriptive and historical methods were utilized for writing this paper.
