This study evaluates the concepts of hierarchal Markedness and Signification of Iranian classical music .the method has been used in this paper is qualitative method .The results has shown that the Markedness in Iranian classical music occurs in two ways: 1. Although signification will occur in macro range of culture, in the term of understanding meaning it has dynamic and multiple shape in the Dastgah framework of music . But Ta'zieh, a kind of Iranian traditional musical Ritual, has shown another context of Iranian music in which signification is more prominent.
