There are many disagreements among elites about development pattern modeling in Islamic republic of Iran. One of these disagreements is basis of development pattern modeling of communication system and cyberspace in general and disagreements such as modeling principles of domestic social networks in particular. This research deals with the question that whether or not the cyberspace, internet, social media and social networks can be policymaking, manage and planning development on basis of culture and identity of each country. If so, what set of principles should govern the process. The mainstream materialistic approaches of Iranian researchers consider culture to be a dependent variable against independent variables such as technology. So look for type and depths of cyberspace, media and social networks effects on our culture and identity. Unlike that approach, we used Q method to investigate the mindset of experts, managers, policymakers and active users of the cyberspace regarding the role that culture and identity might play in the formation of domestic social networks. Analyzing the questionnaires returned by influential activists of the cyberspace, we found five primary mindsets regarding the aforementioned issue, dimensions of which are briefly elaborated. Finally, based on our understanding of the investigated mindsets and their interrelationships, a few operational suggestions are recommended to policymakers in this field.

As a process of relatively deep transformation in a wide scope, globalization has changed, and in most cases, weaken almost all the structures of human life, especially national cultures that are the foundation of identity and civilization of nations. This paper explains the concept of cultural symbiosis among multicultural-ethnic societies and seeks answers to this question: given the inevitable process of globalization, how different cultures can come together to survive in a society where there are different cultures and ethnic groups? The methodology of this paper is documentary and it has been tried to rethink the concept of cultural integration relying on written sources and analytical approaches in the field of culture. For the analysis of this issue, the consolidated view of the theories of classical, contemporary and postmodern sociologists has been studied. In this context, the views of scholars such as Harvey, Fiderston and Fukuyama were analyzed as well. The results suggest that in the process of cultural integration in multicultural societies, the social and cultural changes are the natural phenomena in the communities. But if those changes are consistent with the national identity and preservation of ethnic cultures (and move in this direction), not only can help the cultural dynamics, but also can be a factor in enhancing the integration and national cohesion in multicultural societies.

Cultural diversity is an indispensible trend in today's world and has gained considerable momentum as a result of globalization and ubiquity of communication media. In this essay I attempt to provide a plausible answer to the following question: "given the fact that in the world today no society can truly achieve a monolithic culture, how would it be possible to draw up a cultural policy that would respect cultural diversity and yet fulfill the goal of national unity?" Criticizing various monistic discourses that insist on creation of a monolithic society and culture, a number of arguments are advanced in defense of cultural diversity and multiple identities. Relying on these arguments and in light of Iran's particular historical and cultural conditions, adoption of a cultural policy that is inclusive of various segments of Iran's society is proposed.
