In recent years, the press has witnessed a decline in its audience due to various factors, including cultural, social, political, and economic influences, as well as existing restrictions. This research aimed to investigate the reasons, processes, strategies, and consequences of this issue by employing the grounded theory method, which follows a systematic approach. The participants in this study were communication media experts and individuals with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the press field. Through purposeful sampling, a total of 29 people were selected and interviewed using a semi-structured interview. The data were analyzed using the three-step coding method of grounded theory, which includes open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The findings revealed that the causal conditions influencing the distancing of the press can be categorized into three parts: socio-cultural factors (such as Iranian oral tradition, digitization of culture, minimalistic life, and institutional mistrust), political factors (including political restrictions and behavioral politicization), and economic factors (such as economic poverty, inflation, and high prices). The contextual conditions contributing to people's distance from the press are the political economy and virtualization. Additionally, the intervening conditions impacting people's distance from the press encompass content weakness and structural weakness. To address this issue, strategies such as content modernization, communication modernization, and structural modernization were identified. If these strategies are successfully implemented, the most significant consequence for the press would be a reduction in people's distance from it, leading to a decrease in the downward trend of the press audience.

In the world based on the digital space and the era of electronic and virtual communications, mass media and social networks, while playing the role of news sources for most financial information and data, regulate the problem of information asymmetry between investors and financial markets. It strengthens the adjustment and development of markets. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of mass media on the policy and tendencies of financial market investors. The target population was based on a survey in 2021 among 420 students with investment experience in the financial markets, which was selected by purposeful and non-random sampling and after collecting, 200 questionnaires were analyzed using the logit model. The results showed: a) Mass media leads to fluctuations in investors' tendencies and policies and affects their decisions. b) In the conditions of recession and crisis in the financial markets, the impact and penetration rate of news media is more than social and specialized media. c) while in the conditions of prosperity in the financial markets only, to adjust and carry out reforms in the stock market, the influence of news media is more than social and specialized media d) media news reports basically have an asymmetric effect in the sense that In conditions of market boom, investors pay more attention to optimistic reports and ignore reports that have negative signals. On the other hand, in the conditions of recession and lack of prosperity in the market, investors are more vulnerable to pessimistic media reports, and reports with active information do not have a significant and meaningful impact on their decisions. However, financial markets investors need to learn media literacy along with financial literacy in order to distinguish real news from fake news.

The main purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of social networks on cultural changes and orientations according to Inglehart's Theory. Accordingly, the research sought to answer the question: Did social networks move the cultural orientations toward Ingelhart's Materialistic values or towards Post-Materialistic values? In the present study, the mixed method (content analysis and survey) was used. In the survey section, students' attitudes towards Inglehart’s Materialistic and Post-Materialistic values were measured in social networks (in 2019). Regarding the content analysis section, the content of social networks in 2019 was measured against Materialistic and Post-Materialistic values considered by Inglehart. Survey results on "user-focused values on social media" showed that 53% of students paid attention to Post-Materialistic values. The content analysis findings also showed that about 54% of the messages generated on the three social networks of Twitter, Telegram and Instagram had Post-Materialistic value. The composition of the research results showed that the content of cyberspace was in line with students' attitudes and most attention was paid to Post-Materialistic values. These findings are consistent with Inglehart's theories and show that the country's cultural course coincides with changes in global culture.

Abstract The main objective of this research is to investigate the amount of trust in smartphone based social networks in Tehran. In this research, 800 randomly selected researcher-made questionnaires were distributed among 15-45 year old Tehran youths in five regions of north, south, east, west and center of Tehran. In the end, it was determined that trust is not related to age, education and place of residence of the users. Trust in different genders and marital status was not significantly different. The other achievement was the measure of trust, which was characterized by an average of 2.98, moderate and upward levels of confidence. Micro-variable “design and ease of use” has the most effect and micro-variable “security of software” has the least effect on trust. The main objective of this research is to investigate the amount of trust in smartphone based social networks in Tehran. In this research, 800 randomly selected researcher-made questionnaires were distributed among 15-45 year old Tehran youths in five regions of north, south, east, west and center of Tehran. There are many disagreements among elites about development pattern modeling in Islamic republic of Iran. One of these disagreements is basis of development pattern modeling of communication system and cyberspace in general and disagreements such as modeling principles of domestic social networks in particular. This research deals with the question that whether or not the cyberspace, internet, social media and social networks can be policymaking, manage and planning development on basis of culture and identity of each country. If so, what set of principles should govern the process. The mainstream materialistic approaches of Iranian researchers consider culture to be a dependent variable against independent variables such as technology. So look for type and depths of cyberspace, media and social networks effects on our culture and identity. Unlike that approach, we used Q method to investigate the mindset of experts, managers, policymakers and active users of the cyberspace regarding the role that culture and identity might play in the formation of domestic social networks. Analyzing the questionnaires returned by influential activists of the cyberspace, we found five primary mindsets regarding the aforementioned issue, dimensions of which are briefly elaborated. Finally, based on our understanding of the investigated mindsets and their interrelationships, a few operational suggestions are recommended to policymakers in this field.
