شبکه های اجتماعی سایبری شرایط جدیدی را در زندگی انسان بوجود آورده اند و از آنجایی که دین در همه ابعاد زندگی افراد جاری می شود، لازم است قواعد رفتاری و اخلاقی فعالیت در شبکه های اجتماعی از منظری دینی بازتولید شود. نظام سازی هنجاری برای رفتارها، در جامعه ایران بعد از انقلاب اسلامی که داعیه دار تمدن اسلامی و تعین رفتارهای دینی در همه سطوح زندگی مردم است، امری ضروری است. در این مقاله با تمرکز بر ارزش اسلامی عفاف، به عنوان یکی از نمودهای ارزش های اسلامی، و بازکاوی ابعاد آن در آموزه های دینی در دو بعد فقهی و اخلاقی، نظریه های ارتباطی مربوط به روابط انسانی و واسطه گری رایانه (جاذبه، مدیریت ادراک و نفوذ اجتماعی) را مورد بررسی قرار داده و سپس در سنت پژوهش کیفی با تلفیق سه روش گروه متمرکز، مصاحبه عمیق و مشاهده مشارکتی و غیرمشارکتی به کشف چگونگی ارتباط عفیفانه سایبری در شبکه های اجتماعی پرداخته شده است.
