This paper identified and explored how Iranian Twitter users framed Iran 2017 presidential election in a networked practice. Employing networked framing theory, we tried to identify which subjects were framed by networked publics on Persian Twitter. Moreover, we analyzed the similarities and differentiates in framing the election by different networked publics. We combined social network analysis, ethnographic content analysis and social media critical discourse study approach. First, we collected 2596284 tweets during the election period. Then, we focused on retweet (RT) network as the information diffusion network, and discovered networked publics by applying cluster analysis on this corpus. Afterwards, we identified 50 top influential users in each cluster based on their Page Ranks. Finally, we collected all tweets of these users in the whole network and analyzed them. We used three coders to code the selected sample of 10416 tweets in three rounds. Results showed that ‘Election campaigns’, Candidates and their fans ethical practices’, ‘Corruption’, and ‘Candidates’ qualifications’ were the most dominant networked frames. This study evaluates the conditions of prioritizing social media as a mean for spending leisure time, the way people use social media, and its negative and positive impacts from the viewpoint of users. It was carried out via grounded theory approach and qualitative interviews with 10 active users. According to the results of data analysis, four factors were pinpointed as the main underlies of using social media as a mean for spending leisure time, including communication needs, leisure needs, technological needs, and the need for various experiences. Three main positive impacts of social media are growth of communication abilities, psychological effects, and improvement of individual interests. On the other hand, it has negative impacts on family and social relations, physical and mental health and individual effects. Technological-technical effects and mental-psychological are activity continuity factors. The result of this research confirmed a process of replacing the virtual leisure with real leisure and Combining the concepts of work and leisure for users.

The concept of shopping in cultural studies has been changed by the spread of social media in the form of virtual markets and online shopping, as an identity-maker action. Examining the role of virtual social networks on Tehran people’s shopping experiences, this article aims to identify the differences between shopping experience in virtual and real spaces.To capture the meaning of the shopping experience in the first and second spaces, the present research uses the paradigm of dual spacization, and studying the pattern of shopping behavior in Instagram and Telegram channels, it intends to investigate this dual-spacization field using ethnographic and netnographic methods.Identifying and then explaining, the typology of virtual stimulating and limiting factors through online and offline shopping spaces observations, it turned out that Instagram and Telegram are more an advertising means for real market goods than a space for direct shopping. The research findings show that while shopping for the sake of spending leisure times and hanging around is common in both real and virtual markets, but contrary to the idea of Michel deCerteau and thinkers, who advocate resistance, leisure, pleasure and hanging around of the audience, involving actively in shopping malls and membership in virtual channels, the buyer is engaged in a"consumption cycle" so that consumer tactics have not been able to be used as an emancipating element in the strategy of consumer society.

In accordance with critical theory in communication and media, Medias have the power of influencing on published contents across their own cultural and identical origin. This is to certify the power of Medias in cultural changes and in particular effect on individual and communities identity. Advancement in ICT, social networks emergence and potential of user’s engagement in high speed as a consequence, causes more effect on culture and identity. In this situation can we use social networks as a tool for strengthening youth’s national identity whom uses new technologies more than others? To answer this question we tried to present a model of using social networks potentials for strengthening youth’s national identity. So by using grounded theory approach, we arranged 13 interviews by informants including academic scholars and professors, policy makers and activists in the field of social networking and national identity and users of domestic social networks. We extract 26 categories by result. The research main context are Integrating virtual and real national identities and social network as a means of strengthening national identity. For this purpose four strategies were presented.

Social media are the online tools that people use them to share their contents, profiles, options, views, experiences and thought, so social media facilitate online conversations and interactions between groups. These tools include blogs, message boards, podcasts, microblogging, bookmarking, networking and wikis.
The main objective of this article is the assessment of the rate of students participation in producing social media content. Method of study is survey method. Statistic population include all of Communication studise students in Allomeh Tabatabayi University, Tehran University and Azad University in different degree like B.A, M.A And Ph.D.
Statistical findings showes that most of the students are at least, member of one online social networks like Facebook. Approximatelly most of respondents use from social networks through filtter crusher and most of them believe that using filtter crusher is easy and accessible way for them.

In this research an attempt has been made to survey the role of new media in “Occupy wall street” movement. It may caused by two reasons; First, new social movements do not trust on traditional media which represent money institutions and power owners. Second, social media are sociable. People use social networks to distribute information and news which are censored by governmental media. In this way, social media affect public thoughts and consequently this will support social movements.
Group media are working in a vast impression zone, hence social movements need access to group media and develop oppositive stream. Network society development and “Occupy wall street” effects, have questioned some old media theories like Spiral of Silence, Framing and … .

The Arab world has certainly witnessed the big events and changes in 2011 and early 2012. The wave of pro-democracy movements, anti-authoritarianism and Islamic Awakinism have been swept through it and reached to a turning point with the resignation Yemeni dictator, Ali Abdullah Saleh in January 2012. In fact, these events were the sign of rebirth of courage and political maturity in the people of those countries. They have revolted against authoritarianism, corruption, political inheritance and discrimination in their countries. Meanwhile, we should not disregard the role of digital and social media as a facilitator of those revolutions. Since the eruption of revolution in the Arab countries, much have been written about the role of mass media like TVs, satellite TV Channels, newspapers, and also digital or social media like internet websites and virtual connecting networks such as Face book, Twitter and etc. To be sure, the role of people in fulfilling of the revolutions is undeniable, but we cannot ignore the effective role of digital media in prosperousness of revolutions. New digital media are being counted as one of the most important factors of the revolutions, because of their role in informing people, sharing the news and spreading freedom and anti-authoritarian thoughts. This article analyzes the role of new media in mobilizing people in the Arab Spring and its aftermaths.
