Abstract The main objective of this research is to investigate the amount of trust in smartphone based social networks in Tehran. In this research, 800 randomly selected researcher-made questionnaires were distributed among 15-45 year old Tehran youths in five regions of north, south, east, west and center of Tehran. In the end, it was determined that trust is not related to age, education and place of residence of the users. Trust in different genders and marital status was not significantly different. The other achievement was the measure of trust, which was characterized by an average of 2.98, moderate and upward levels of confidence. Micro-variable “design and ease of use” has the most effect and micro-variable “security of software” has the least effect on trust. This article is based on academic research entitled "The Representation of Women in Gender Jokes" which aims to examine the representation of women in jokes. In this study, due to the subject's qualitative aspects, discourse analysis has been used. For this purpose, twenty gender jokes were selected out of more than a hundred cases and analyzed using the three-dimensional model of Norman Fairclough. The results showed that representation of women and girls in gender jokes is negative and ignoble compared to men and even boys. In these jokes, the representations of women are different to girls. Representation of women is affected by the stereotypes, traditional and patriarchal beliefs and partially media stereotypes. On the other hand, the representation of girls was largely influenced by media stereotypes. Also, the results reveal that the gender jokes have emerged from the patriarchy discourse and at the end lead to confirmation and reinforcement of this discourse.

The purpose of this research is to study comparatively the news coverage of Persian website of Al-Alam concerning the events of Bahrain and Syria in the time period which is known as “Arab Spring” or “Islamic Awakening”.
This study has applied qualitative content analysis method and Purposive sampling of consecutive-days, and also “news” as its analysis unit.
Findings of this study display that Bahrain’s events had a significantly more news coverage than Syria’s, yet the Syrian government had a significantly more positive coverage than the government of Bahrain. Moreover, by focusing the news rate of each country, orientation and agenda-setting of the site as well as the use of lexicon, presuppositions, implications, frames, images and stereotypes, this research has come to the point that the above mentioned website provides a positive mindset of Bahraini opposition and protests, and on the other hand forms negative images of Syrian opposition and protests.
